This article explains, with easy to understand examples (free reg. req'd), just how to get coding quickly.

If the Web 2.0 revolution has one buzzword, it's Ajax. Learn to create an Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (Ajax) client-side slide show that's animated using Ken Burns Effects* (free reg. req'd). It shows you how to build XML data sources for Ajax, request XML data from the client, and then dynamically create and animate HTML elements with that XML.

* [Ed. Note Trivia: While Ken Burns makes some great documentaries, he was not the first filmmaker to use the technique now named after him.]
