Hello, i installed Lenny on a PPC Mac Mini and work fine (french). But the network device is frozen on DHCP, and i want to put an IP manually.
So i read the doc and tried to write my own interface file. Then, Gnome show me that there is "no ethernet device installed".
My system is locked on DHCP, can you help me ?

What's the best way to file share a Debian file system with OSX? Any links to tutorials?

This place seems to be a location for Mac saavy people, so I will present my problem: I used debian-40r0-powerpc-netinst.iso copied to my 2gb flash disk, set the image with the etch gnome cd burner, and put the CD in my cheap Mac laptop. It still gives me the floppy with a question mark.

Is there something else I should use for this G3? Is G3 too old?

I am new to this forum and debian. I am using an eMac with osx installed on one partition and debian etch on the other. I would like to be able to use the emulater mac-on-linux. Synaptic installs the mol but when I try
to start it the screen flashes briefly and then dies. I suspect this may be related to the display which is often a problem with the eMac. I have used molvconfig but it does not yield a valid configuration for the monitor.

Help!I'm really a newbie and I have just reorganized a WGS 7250 which was in pieces. It showed up to have an old but quite nice application list. The hardwares are; two scsi disks - IBM model DCAS-34220 4,3 gb and IBM DORC-32160 2,1 gb, one floppy disk, 132 mb RAM and there used to be a intern scsi-cd-player but during the work I managed to damage it, so now I'm using an extern scsi-cd. The clock battery is finished.
