Hi.

I tried to install Debian on my PPC G4 by rebooting with the cd inserted and pressing C while and after hearing the chime.

But it didn't work. I tried with the small iso and with the big (cd) iso, but it didn't work. I just have a dark monitor with no signal.

Some days ago I tried it with ubuntu's and it did work. I even successfully installed it. But I wanted to install Debian. Today, after trying with debian (and also with Gentoo, which didn't work neither), I tried again with ubuntu's... and it worked. I'm sure that I burned it correctly.

Any help?

Greetings,

Very new Debian user, I have just installed Debian on my older mac G4. Love it, but I can not seem to get adobe Flash player to install. Worked like a charm on my formerly windows laptop, but Debian does not seem to recognize the download in the same way on my Mac version.

This is not an urgent plea for help since this Mac is old and I'm just tickled to have another computer up and running again, but it would be nice to play flash games on my cinema screen :-)

Thanks for all help!

Hi guys,
I have an old Ibook G3 I installed the debian cd with minimal so I could add apps via internet and make install faster...Downside is the ethernet kernel is not recognized and I have no Idea how to fix that??? I am asking for your wisdom and help. Now that I have wiped the HD and it thinks it has debian i can not figure out how to eject cd to use a different install disk.
Sop Please Help with my issue.

I get the !st boot Screen and it says 1 or c
cdrom is not inserted and not able to be that I can see without prying apart the cd drive housing. Not a good idea but If I boot from 1 it gets past the opening lines of code and then sticks on a white bar at bottom 1/3rd of Screen as if it were loading but it dsoes not load or alter image over the course of 30 minutes.
